||Poker Run to Benefit Friends of Forgotten Children
||June 28th, 2014 (rain date June 29th) at 134 Hoit Rd, Concord, NH for a
Poker Run to benefit Friends of Forgotten Children located in Concord, NH. Don’t have a
bike? Not to worry, cars are welcome!
Enjoy a scenic ride from Concord with stops in Andover, Canaan,
Meredith, Alton and back to Concord all while helping a FANTASTIC
local program. There will be 6 stops along the way, one stop being at
Friends of Forgotten Children’s facility. A complete list of the stops, as
well as directions, will be provided at registration.
Registration will open at 7:00 AM and is $25.00 per driver, and $10.00 for each passenger.
Bring 3 non‐perishable food items and receive $5.00 off the cost of registration. Riders will
start leaving at 9:30 AM.
There will be prizes for the top 3 poker hands, raffles, Food and Drinks.
Prices include: 2 tickets to Catskill Mountain Festival in East Durham, NY, 4 tickets to the
July 4, 2014 Fisher Cats game in Manchester, NH, 2 tickets to the July 13, 2014 Camping
World 301 race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. As well as numerous gift certificates
to area businesses

||Community Garden Club Annual Bake Sale
||Saturday, June 28th
Celebrate summer in Meredith and stock your pantry and freezer with a great assortment homemade baked treats.
New location this year! The Community Garden Club of Meredith will hold the annual Summer Bake Sale in front of the newly relocated Aubuchon Hardware Store in the Meredith Bay Shops on Route 25 Meredith from 9:00 until sold out. The best baked goods in the Lakes Region will be available for purchase. Botanical Photo Note cards will also be available for sale. These make great hostess gifts. New this year: home made treats for your favorite canine friends. The proceeds from this sale will be used to fund scholarships for local students pursuing careers in the fields of environmental study and horticulture.
The Summer Raffle features a hand made barn board bird house created and designed by a local artisan will be showcased. Tickets will be available at all the garden club gatherings. Winning ticket will be drawn at the closing luncheon on Thursday, October 2.

||Summer of Christian Kids (S.O.C.K.s)
||The Lakes Region church of Christ, located on 1 Mill Street in Tilton, New Hampshire is hosting a summer youth program starting Saturday, June 28th from 1PM to 3PM. "Summer of Christian Kids" vacation Bible school will provide younger children (ages 3 through 12) with a Bible lesson, skits, games and snacks AND parents are invited to enjoy an activity with other grown ups. From 3PM to 5PM, the youth group for teens will provide fun and devotional time, with singing, prayer, snacks and games. ||Amateur Radio (AKA Ham Radio) "Field Day"
||The public is formally invited to the Amateur Radio (AKA Ham Radio) "Field Day" being held in Wolfeboro by the Lakes Region Repeater Association radio club.
Our event will take place this year from 1PM on Saturday June 28th, through 4PM Sunday June 29th, located "in the field" at 451 Pleasant Valley Road in Wolfeboro.
There will be opportunity for anyone to operate a properly supervised "GOTA" (Get On The Air) amateur radio station, as well as view our setup for this event.
This is a fun field exercise for Amateur Radio operators to simulate conditions of emergency communications and we invite the public to see what we are capable of.

||Raising money to donate to the Laconia Friends of Football.. Live music from Rocking Ronnie with special guest appearance, refreshments and cash bar. 50/50 raffle and lots of giveaways. Cover charge at the door is $10 per person... remember all proceeds will be donated to help our children. So please come out and support your local High School Football Team!!!
