The Morning Wake-Up with Nazzy & Tara

A natural crowdpleaser, Nazzy knows exactly what it takes to get the party started. Originally from Massachusetts, Nazzy got his start in radio in Boston, has spent time on the air in Rhode Island, and has been a staple in the lakes region, the capital city and all of the granite state for close to 15 years. Not only on the air, but as a mobile entertainer. Nazzy rocks some of the best venues in NH, ME and MA with his own mobile dj company, Nazzy Entertainment DJs www.nazzydjs.com .

He takes his roles in the community very seriously, winning various awards for his merit and generosity, and has been featured as one of the 40 Under Fourty. Nazzy spends a lot of time volunteering for many non-profit organizations, with a passion for aiding in cancer research and is on the board of the Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord/Merrimack County.

Nazzy shares his life with his beautiful bride, Jenna, his sons Michael and Sean, and his dogs, Rocky and Sandy. (Who rescued who?!)

. . Words on Nazzy, from Tara . .
* Nazzy won't eat until after 7am. He says it has to do with some metabolism thing.
* I've never actually seen him sit down. He's like a ninja in the studio.
* I've never seen him drink a drop of coffee, or any warm liquid. Only ice water.
* He's a germophobe, maybe a bit neurotic, and a can't spell very well.
* When the NKOTB first came out, Nazzy rocked a rat tail. #TrueStory
* His doppelganger is Michael Keaton

Tara, a born entertainer, started shining her light in Connecticut, beginning her radio career in 1991. She's always looked at radio as her opportunity to spread the good word and bring people together. Tara has taken the experiences of her life to different communities in her home state, Pennsylvania, Florida, Indiana, Vermont (including upstate New York and Montreal), South Carolina and now to New Hampshire. And yes, in that order. Tara was brought back to New England after the sudden passing of her father.

Of all of the non-profit organizations that Tara has worked with, her primary focus is on those that are designed to help women and children. The American Heart Association and Go Red For Women are among her favorites.

Tara is considered an inspiration to many, as a career woman, and a mother. She shares her life with her soulmate, Douglas. Together, they have 8 children (7 boys ... YES ... 7 boys, finally welcoming a baby girl in February of 2016). And two puppers, Dolby and Louie.

. . Words on Tara, from Nazzy . .
* I call her my "schleppah" because every morning, she's dragging in bags of various THINGS. (I still don't know what half of these things are)
* Her multi-tasking skills blow me away. She can write stories, carry a conversation on the phone, respond to social media, keep me in check, AND be completely ready when we crack the mic.
* She is allergic to my house, I think. We discovered that one evening when she had an asthma attack and we almost had to call 911.
* I have YET to be invited to a dance party at her house. (Doesn't she know I have a disco ball and laser lights?!?)

What makes Nazzy and Tara so special, as a team, is the fact that they are close friends sharing real conversation on (and off) the air, along with great music to get you moving in the morning, games and prizes.

Bob Estes

I got interested in radio back in the early 60’s when my Dad worked for KLWW radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Then In 1967 we moved to New Hampshire where Dad started working for WLNH. When I was 15 years old (1968) I got my 3rd Class radio Broadcasters license and that was just the beginning.

I have worked at WLNH off and on, between other ventures, since 1968 when I worked on the air doing weekend evening shifts. (Anyone remember “The Wonderful World of Gold”?) and was a part of the Laconia High School radio club – Club 135.

I have been at about 18 radio stations all over New England over the years, but my roots seem to be planted here in New Hampshire. So here I am back again working weekends.

Wow! Déjà vu.
